I was a regular customer at this salon for about a year. I was pleased with the work they did, and Heather, the owner, seemed to know a lot. However, the last time I went in she was extremely offensive, picking apart my hair and acting extremely snooty about things. She "knew best", and did exactly what I asked her not to. She was overly defensive and became unfriendly when I disagreed with what she wanted to do. Hello, it's MY hair! I faked a smile when she finished, but realized the extent of what she did when I left.
Heather told me that what I wanted to do was “impossible,” and that she “didn’t have enough time” to give me what I wanted because I had “too much hair," and continued throughout the whole two hours to ridicule me for having a lot of hair. For a woman who claims to have been doing hair for so long, she seemed shocked to have a client with thick hair.
Despite the fact that I told Heather I liked my color, she kept calling my case a “correction,” changed the color completely, and claimed she knew best. I left the salon with a fake smile as I normally would, but went home crying over how ridiculous I looked: my hair was bright yellow and all the color I loved was gone. I had to go to another salon to get it fixed.
I tried to contact her the next day to complain about my experience, but no one answered the phone all day. She finally called back, then flipped everything around and blamed me and my young age for the experience, refusing to accept that she messed up. I’m still in shock and appalled at the levels of unprofessionalism, reckless abandon, and general lack of understanding at this establishment. I would not recommend this salon to my worst enemy. I wish I could give negative stars. Please do not go here. It is HIGHLY overpriced for a less-than-mediocre, uncomfortable service.
It's a fantastic salon. I always leave happy with my color and cut.
Never in my life have I experienced such a level of unprofessionalism from a “stylist.” Heather made me feel as though I was an inconvenience to her because my hair required more time and more product. She is also the only stylist I’ve ever met that punished me for having such hair, charging me an additional $100 by the hour and for each additional bowl of product she had to use.
This salon is going down - and fast. Many stylists are leaving, including Caroline, one of the best. There simply isn't enough business and they are rapidly losing customers. It is also HORRIBLY overpriced. Competing salons offer similar services (that are just as great) for about 3/4 of the price - sometimes even less. I would not recommend this salon for the money, or for the work they do.
Save yourself the time, money, trouble, and humiliation: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. They never answer the phones and they don’t listen to their clients. Originally I thought it was odd how no one other than Heather, the stylist, was in the salon. No clients, no employees, just her. I shrugged it off and sat down anyway, but now that I look back, I wish I had walked out.
